Technical services provider Unica is acquiring the MPL Group from Barneveld. MPL is a leading specialist in smart building concepts, data integration and 24/7 alarm center services. With the acquisition Unica strengthens its position in the field of building intelligence and can offer clients a broader portfolio of total building management solutions. MPL has 40 employees and works for clients in healthcare, industry, government, education and real estate, among others.
Smart Building Platform
MPL’s Smart Building Platform as a Service (PaaS) is a cloud solution for complete building data management. It forms an integrated platform for all processes and systems that contribute to (fire) safety, security and building management, which can be deployed on a subscription basis. Smart data analytics makes a building’s performance and operational processes visually transparent for better management. This makes buildings smarter, safer and more sustainable.
MPL works for installers, end users and property owners. The company has extensive experience with Winguard as a service, a cloud-based security information management system. To maintain its strong reputation and recognition in the sector, it will continue to operate under its own name from its current office in Barneveld. Founders Marcel and Peter Lenters will remain associated with MPL Group, which consists of service provider MPL Alarm & Communication Centrale BV and system integrator Easy Safe BV.
Unica Building Intelligence
After the acquisition, MPL will become part of the Unica Building Intelligence cluster. Within this cluster Unica already has a lot of knowledge of building intelligence. With MPL, the knowledge and capacity of this cluster will be expanded and several renowned clients will be added to the portfolio. Unica Building Intelligence offers over 40 years of experience and expertise in building automation and integration. Among other things, it delivers innovative total concepts for intelligent buildings and system integration. These enable building performance, efficiency and ease of use and energy savings. Unica Building Intelligence has a proven track record in complex integration projects with leading clients.
More opportunities through acquisition
