Datacenter United and Iron Mountain combine forces to improve services

Since July, Datacenter United and Iron Mountain are combing their core forces. BDIA asked both organizations about the partnership.

One of the major advantages that Datacenter United and Iron Mountain address, is the improvement of their services. The partnership provides customers greater flexibility in colocation, housing, connectivity and extra data center related services, like IT Asset Lifecycle Management (ALM). ALM is a strategic approach to IT asset management from deployment and active use to safely decommissioning, disposal, recycling or remarketing of IT assets such as servers, storage bays, desktops and laptops.

According to Datacenter United, it’s more than suitable to work with a life cycle management partner as Iron Mountain. Therefore, they encourage all our customers, partners and suppliers to implement LCM on a daily basis in their processes.

“The aim of this partnership and others coming in the future is to bring extra value to our customers and partners. By building a strong ecosystem where all partners and customers can find the right services and advice linked to data governance, data security, data infrastructure…  in an easy way.  Our commitment to sustainability and sustainability goals are once more the glue of this trusted partnership we are building with Iron Mountain. Therefore, I and Datacenter United, strongly believe in such initiatives that bring LCM top of mind to customers and also contribute to a better world and society. Remember that recycling the equipment is the last step in this cycle that you try to avoid at all cost. Re-use and remarketing is good for the companies, good for the planet”, says Xavier Warnier – CCO Datacenter United.

“We are looking forward to this great partnership with a valuable company as Datacenter United and the sustainable added value we can offer customers together. After all, the digital transformation is in full progress and brings challenges but also new opportunities for data centre management for companies in all possible industries in our society. With our IT Asset Lifecycle Management services, such as data migration, secure hardware decommissioning, remarketing and disposal, we are happy to help partners and customers achieve a secure, reliable and sustainable IT network and equipment. This way, they can even better apply the great value of data within their business on a continuous basis, fully focus on their core business, and at the same time we keep the world livable for future generations. That aligns perfectly with our core value sustainability”, explains Maarten Hensen – Commercial Director Benelux Iron Mountain.
