Brussels, Oct. 2, 2023 | The Belgian Digital Infrastructure Association (BDIA), the trade association for companies active in Belgian digital infrastructure, appoints Carole Santens as managing director.
Since its founding in 2022, the BDIA has grown rapidly. More and more leading organizations from the Belgian digital sector are joining and the BDIA organizes several networking events per year. To support further growth, the board is pleased to announce Carole Santens as its new managing director.
Strengthening Belgium’s digital infrastructure
Carole Santens is well-known in the IT sector. With nearly ten years of experience as Media Expert at Data News, the leading IT trade magazine of Roularta Media Group, Carole has a lot of knowledge about the digital industry. She previously worked as Account Manager at SBS Belgium and as Sales Manager at Brightfish. In her new role as Managing Director, she is ready to enthusiastically take the day-to-day charge and further grow the BDIA. Santens: “In my role as Managing Director, I strive for growth, driven by collaboration. Every new challenge is a new opportunity to achieve that.”
Friso Haringsma, Managing Director at Datacenter United, and Barro Luitjes, Managing Director at KevlinX, form the board of the BDIA. Both are very pleased with Santens’ appointment as Managing Director. “Carole has built a large network within our industry. Her extensive experience in the media gives us full confidence that as Managing Director she will provide a powerful impulse to the next phase of BDIA as a promotional organization.
