CONTEG is among companies manufacturing their own cooling solutions for data centers. This year, developers at the company operating in the BENELUX region have prepared an innovation that increases key cooling parameters while maintaining an acceptable price for customers.
Space in a data center is limited, but performance must grow. “Our new inter-cabinet units CoolTeg G CW now have 60 percent higher air capacity and 40 percent higher cooling capacity. We managed to optimize air flow from 4000 cubic meters to 6500 cubic meters,” says Regional Sales Director CONTEG Benelux Kris Gilissen, adding that CONTEG has barely increased the price for customers. “We’ve ventilated the entire system and thus enabled better cooling parameters. Our business partners will especially appreciate the efficiency,” says CONTEG Development Head Lukas Dvorak.
The modified CoolTeg G CW offers numerous useful improvements. CoolTeg G CW chilled water in-row cooling units are designed to be connected to any system with chillers producing cold water.
CoolTeg G CW units can be used either independently (in rack rows) or integrated in Mini Data Centers — closed architecture rack systems and cooling units. Cooling capacity is changed by controller; nominal cooling capacity is calculated at return hot air temperature of 35 °C without condensation (heat exchanger‘s temperature above dew-point), chilled water temp. 6/12 °C (for CW). Net cooling capacity is the cooling capacity minus fan heat load—the actual unit cooling capacity available to IT equipment. Airflow is changed by the controller; nominal airflow matches nominal cooling capacity.
Units for Mini Data Centers are delivered without filters. Units for Mini Data Centers are available in 1 208 mm depths only. Units are supplied with a four-row heat exchanger as standard. More powerful exchangers with six rows of tubes are available on request.
