The Belgian Digital Infrastructure Association (BDIA), trade association for organizations active in the Belgian digital infrastructure industry, is proud to announce that edge data center operator nLighten has become a partner of the association.
With nLighten becoming a partner of the BDIA, the total number of partners has grown to 65. In the past six months, 17 new partners have become a partner of the BDIA. This development indicates the growing interest in the Belgian data center market.
nLighten is a digital infrastructure platform focused on developing and operating innovative edge data centers across Europe’s key economic hubs. Its strategically distributed data centers deliver best-in-class network access to enterprises, private users, and the mobile workforce. nLighten is working towards establishing a pan-European presence in all major cities and smaller business hubs. Its edge data centers are close, coupled, and connected: By being closer to customers and users, nLighten ensures low-latency access and high availability for businesses, mobile workforces, and private users.
Carole Santens, managing director of the Belgian Digital Infrastructure Association (BDIA), addresses the importance of welcoming new data centers into the BDIA: “The growth in recent months, combined with nLighten as a new BDIA partner, shows that the Belgian data center market and digital ecosystem is on the rise. As the trade association for the Belgian digital infrastructure, these developments allow us to put the urgency for sustainable growth within Belgium on the map among various stakeholders.”
A more connected digital ecosystem in Belgium

“At nLighten, we strongly believe in the power of regional infrastructure to support a more sustainable digital future. Our edge data center in Ghent is strategically located to serve local businesses and customers with low-latency, high-performance colocation services. Joining the BDIA is a natural step in our mission to contribute to a more connected digital ecosystem in Belgium. As a member, we’re proud to collaborate with other key players in the industry to promote innovation, share best practices, and strengthen the role of digital infrastructure in regional development”, says Danny van Galen, Commercial Lead Benelux at nLighten.
